Does the gateway matter for the characters?

Example, if I try to login to one gateway and make character there, can I use that character on a different gateway later? I trying different gateways because I noticed there's no queue on the server closest to my location and errors out, but there's queue for another one.

That is what I want to know too, I am in California right now and it is at 9648, I think maybe the other servers are not online and maybe there is only one forth North america? No idea

The texas gateway option keeps giving error, but yea another gateway in US server has a queue.

Yeah that is what I get with Texas as well, I am at 2888 now(in Cali serv) so will see what happens after that. Did you get past the queue, what does it do after that do you get in?

Stay in the Cali queue once it goes to zero you will be able to play!!!!! Good luck!

No. The gateway doesn't matter.

played through to the first little town by logging in through london... in that time, Texas gateway has become responsive so back in the queue. If the one closest to you will queue you, it's for the best with regard to performance but won't affect characters.

The Texas gateway just started a queue for me, but yea it's very long so best stick to what u can and go do something else while u wait. I gotta have dinner though lol. Also thanks for the replies.
