The queue is real, via standalone, but it states servers are not online. Not sure, it may get reset anyway before they open the gates - let's see.

No worrys. Waiting in the queue now is pointless. They will be kicked on release.

Some console versions are already on queue. Steam is not enabled yet. Still, when servers come up there will be a patch so everyone will have to re-queue.

Standalone

Steam will have to launch/unpack/update and HOPE TO GAWD it's not the old update system where it verifies the entire game.

It sucks but guarantee there will be DC'ing issues any ways.

If the update is over a certain size, it will go through the whole game file. That's how Steam updates work.

pretty sure some of those posts are just incognito hype bots to keep you in the client while everything gets kicked off, i think its a good sign to expect things to be rough as well if the company is already doing that

No Steam verifies the files it updates to avoid corruption during download (power outage/DC etc) the old PoE file system was even if it was a 10mb update that only updated one file it would still verify the entire game because Path of Exile was packed that way, this was changed and people came back to Steam myself included. So I doubt it'll be an issue with Path of Exile 2, just preparing for the worse case scenario.

Don't worry about it, the queues are inconsequential, as they will be cleared when the Day One Patch is released and the game is released.
