There's a good chance it will even be up for download before the servers are open. For PoE1 patches they take the servers down for the launch and allow downloads a few hours before launch.
Yeah, you're not wrong. I ain't sweatin' a preload tbh. Still, hope they have it together enough that it's not a catastrophe.

hi.. with poe1.. they are two different clients and dl's. you cannot move the stand alone client to a steam poe1 folder and run it. it will patch the entire game if tried.
with poe2 though it may be different. if you are planning to play on steam.. i would just wait for when it's available on steam. there will be so much traffic and server load issues anyway.. you more than likely won't miss the time invested.

I didn't know that the steam early access client would be available tomorrow.
If it was not going live when PoE2 early access is otherwise available through the web based client, then I would preload through the web based client now.
