I would highly recommend Grim Dawn to anyone, both long time fans of the genre and new players with one caveat: It's graphically kind of ugly, but it feels really good to play. So if you don't like dated graphics, it may not be a good entry point either.
There are way too many issues with basically every other ARPG for a first timer to warrant a recommendation. D2RR is grossly overrated and full of things that were a product of its time. I'd recommend D4 over that though I thought the itemization and where they landed on how the power curve and what the endgame entails is ridiculously bad.
Also has a whiff of consolization going on
If you want a full game experience then every other H&S game outside of Last Epoch is for you because LE is rather incomplete.
