New season?
Is it true that a new season may take place anytime between now and end of March?

We do not know the exact date 0.2 will come. But it will be a league/economy reset.

I am assuming it will be closer to March cause it would stay in practice with the cadence they need for leagues/seasons after official release.

You'll know when the new season is when they make an announcement that they will be announcing the patch notes preview, that will then announce that the patch will come soon. This is GGG after all, and needlessly complicating things is kind of their specialty.

Imagine seasons in an early-access game, it is still in some test phase but is treated as the full game with seasons.

With the POE1 announcement I just read, we may see full steam ahead for POE2. Maybe we will get some word next week.

why wouldn't a developer want to have their beta/early access function like the launch product as much as possible?

The poe 1 event is gonna last 1 month. It starts soonish. Lets say it starts start of march, last one month. And then at the first half of april we will probably have economy reset. Might be earlier or later, but as a betting man I would say early april for poe 2 economy reset and big content patch.

Whats the point of testing a seasonal game without seasons. Imagine we had patches every day with minor adjustements without proper data etc. Then when the actual seasons start we wont have sufficient data for how season progressions works and it might not be adjusted properly and then the first season is ruined.
