please remain calm and grab your towel :)
You need something to talk about.
There is technology today called Cloud servers.
Cloud servers have autoscaling so if 5 people play autoscales to 5, 50k people play it autoscales to 50k, 10M people join, it autoscales.
Its not they gotta goto Best Buy and buy a bunch of servers and hopefully they bought the right amount. Its all cloud now and autoscaling.
But servers will go down, most likely the marketing team wants that to happen.
Players love to hear when their favorite game, servers down due to players. Players love hearing that. They love complaining too.
So servers will go down. It makes the game look good when you have free publicity about PoE2 too good servers crashed.
If you do not have news saying servers crashed too many people enjoying PoE2 thats not good. You are not in the headlines.
So these servers have good chance at crashing and good chance its intended and good chance for good marketing because servers crashed.
that's not how servers work and it has nothing to do with marketing
sending to much information (or packets) at a same time has always the same result, a congestion
some servers can mitigate this issue but as of today that is a very expensive solution
let's hope for the best for tomorrow :)
???
Me announcing PoE2 in the corp channel: is anyone interested?... Please... It's just $30 for an F2P game without any definitive release date
This will be the same.
You keep pushing misinformation
If they pull that off, they deserve a medal. I can't remember the last time a popular online-game launched that didn't get overloaded for the first couple of hours
