Dagger?
So i saw on a screenshot different weapons, for example Daggers, staff, spear, sword and so on.
my question is, since there is no rogue ( assassin/shadow) in the beginning

as a Monk, am i able to play Daggers? or do i have to play a 2 hand weapon? like a spear or whatever?

You can play anything you want as long as it's not a female monk

You have to check, not all weapons types are available in the current state either, which one are and arent, i cant recall out of my head

You can use any weapon or any class as long as you meet attribute requirement to use that weapon,
Same for skills, can use any skill on any class.

Swords, daggers, spears, claws, flails and axes are not yet available. They will come when the other classes are added.

Damn, spears and flails unavailable? Gonna get my refund.

But when they are added you can use them all with monk. It is just that currently no skills exist to use with those not yet added weapon types.

You won't see Daggers in the game (at all) until they release the Shadow class - using them will allow use of different skills. As a result, you can't use Monk skills with a Dagger - Monk skills require either a quarterstaff or unarmed, as things exist currently. With the caveat of course that we may not know something planned down the line once all weapons are in, but I think they've stated they want each weapon to feel unique, so I'm betting skills will remain as they are - tied to specific weapon types - with maybe a little bit of flex here and there on a skill or two.

But, you would of course be able to start as a Monk, use Monk ascendancies, and use Dagger (Shadow) skills in part or whole, and still have a viable build.

Do unarmed skills even yet exist? I remember that they well also not be ready at the start.

No, not yet. I'm thinking anything "fist" related will come with Claws which are either coming with the Shadow or the Huntress.

Templar: Flails
Maurauder: Axes
Duelist: Swords
Huntress; Spears
Shadow: Daggers / Traps / Claws?
Druid: ?? Shapeshifting

Not sure there's a lot of it, but in a very quick scan poe2db shows at least a few as being unarmed or quarterstaff, though many are listed as quarterstaff only. Grain of salt of course, as the datamined info is very much in flux, as too is EA in general. But, the ones I saw:

Hand of Chayula
Killing Palm
Shattering Palm
Staggering Palm

Shadow and Duellist were renamed to Assassin and Gladiator. You can see this by going to pathofexile2.com and then hovering your mouse over the class symbols.

I'm pretty sure claws and staves got switched for poe 2 (to match the new classes so that every one gets one "signature" weapon, meaning the weapon passives being near the start of their skill tree). Staves went from str/int to dex/int and claws from dex/int to str/int.
