Is it just me?

Or has it been impossible to focus on playing any other game for the last month?

I waste time on creating characters but get bored with them so quickly. Even with the ptr and gift mode in D4. I upgraded all the way and then.... now what? lol.

I am so stoked for tomorrow, or the next day, knowing how these these roll out.

I am actually setting it up so that I will be having two of my grandsons and their father, my son, all set up to play here on two couch co-op setups in a group.

I know there will be negative players complaining 5 mins after the start of the early access when the server's are overloaded. "I paid $30 for this, I want my money back." Will probably have some comment on this post, but don't give a rat's tail.

As a 63 year old gamer who has played for 50 years, developed software professionally for 40 years, and lastly a POE 1 player for 7+ years, I honestly think this is the most excited I have been for a game yet. Don't even care if bugs come up, as long as I can create a char and do some of the campaign I will be good.

GGG has been the best gaming company as far as communication and customer service, let alone creating rocking games that gamers truly want to play. I am proud to support their efforts even on the leagues I didn't get into playing that much.

I thought about it, then started playing POE1 to get a better understanding of what POE2 would feel like.

Little bit late to do that now, but POE is totally free to play and your early access points can be used in that store and things carry over to POE2.
So, maybe not a bad idea.

the last time i was that hyped up was Classic WoW re-release in 2019

maybe the servers are on fire and we cant play

maybe the performance is pisspoor and bad optimization

maybe WASD feels bad like basically in every other top down game

maybe having 4 league mechanics, a few pinnacle bosses and 3 trials is not "endless amounts of endgame" but actually a rather limited endgame

maybe the class balance is all over the place

maybe there will be bugs, items dupes, cheats etc

maybe the economy will be broken for the entire duration of early access

All I did was research to death and then post a topic on these forums for builds. Then proceeded to map out and post exactly what I was planning to do over 500+ words lol and get it all off my chest. Now I can play and do other things in peace without thinking about my PoE2 plans/hype.

As a 95yo gamer who played for 83 years of my life I can totally see where you coming for. I still remember when I first launched PoE on my Commodore64 gifted to me by my third son

I always get like that when I'm looking forward to a game that is like a week away. During that week I have very little interest in other games.

I've played Diablo 4 for 220hours+ this season and counting. PoE's 10% xp loss on death, 30 hours long tutorial disguised as a campaign, $90 worth sashes for the comfortable gameplay - these don't look terribly exciting past the honeymoon

I'll admit that I don't have this problem. In the last month or so I've completed Veilguard (hated it), Resident Evil 4 Remake (loved it), Final Fantasy 16 (PS5), and I'm currently working on Metaphor.

I absolutely can't wait for PoE 2 though. I plan on throwing myself at that game for a LONG time.

PoE sales reps are so weird, ridiculing a response sharing they infact are not like op and have been enjoying another game leading up to PoE 2 on a topic literally asking if everyone else is like OP and couldn’t focus on any other games…fanboy:
