How to pre-load?

website client releases at 5pm pst today - 7h30 mins from now steam has no pre load

Well this is what I am seeing on there FAQ after quickly scanning it. Two points in particular that I have posted below. But it looks like they lied as if this was true we should have been able to download a couple days ago...lol.

"When does Early Access start on all platforms?
Path of Exile 2 will launch in Early Access at 11am December 6th PST in your local time on all supported platforms, including a standalone PC client, Steam and Epic Games Store clients as well as Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.


When will I be able to download the client?
A few days prior to the Early Access launch. We’ll announce the details in the news, so you won’t miss it!"

Download the standalone on their website later today. Get the steam version later, you can link the accounts.

Hey how do you download the standalone, I've looked all over and can only find the original client for POE

It's not released yet. It will be sometime later today, just be on the lookout for it.

think you're confused when pre-load for the standalone client.

I was looking for the same. According to Maxxroll website, I quote:


"When Is The Pre-Download Available?

You can download the standalone PC client on Dec 5th at 5pm (PST), or on Dec 6th at 1am (GMT) for Europeans. Keep in mind the servers don't open until EA officially launches on the 6th of December. Meaning this only serves to get your game ready ahead of time for launch."

"Where Do You Download?

The pre-download can be found on the Path of Exile 2 website. Alternatively, a torrent link will also be available."

"Steam traditionally hasn't had access to pre-downloads and there appears to be no indication that that has changed. So to be on the safe side we recommend switching to the standalone client at least momentarily."

So, I guess from the official PO2 site 7 hours from now? I don't know if we have to link steam account to Poe 2 site. It's not clear.


Edit: figured out, it's easy. Just go to https://pathofexile2.com/us/early-access , log in with Steam and that's all.
