I'm betting the final download will be around 125gb.
Better make some space to make sure you don't run out.
After updates might grow in size as content is added or shrink as things are optimised though unlikely it will be more than 100GB for a while.

If Steam recommends leaving at least 100gb of free space, the client will probably be around 80 - 90gb.
Like I said.
In a screenshot posted by someone here on this forum, the beta client was 114gb.
The client we will download tomorrow will likely be even bigger.
Strange, but it wouldn't be the first time that Steam hasn't been updated with the right parameters so it could be.
It's certainly not news, to be safe it's better to leave more than 100gb free.
