You can log into the pathofexile-site via the Steam Login option and then download the standalone client from there as soon as they make it available probably some time tomorrow. You will probably have to download it again later on to play directly through Steam though. Both clients should point to the same POE-account.

Personally I don't think it's really worth the effort though, the servers will be burning on the first day anyway, so even if you had everything downloaded you probably would just end up in a queue most of the time.

Don´t worry, you will be ready to play next Thursday, no matter if you preload now or start tomorrow.

It will take me around 15 minuttes to download it.
I had 2mbps back in 1999, you must be living very rural or in an region with low infrastructure.. I know it sucks.. but atleast you will get to play the game eventually

They're going to release the standalone client on their official website sometime today. Look out for that if you want to play day 1. Get the Steam version later.

i download a 2mo max per second. its the slowest but also the cheapest i can get.
its still enough to watch 1080p videos live on exemple twitch or youtube.
the problem is when i gotta download a big game it can take hours, in this instance 110gb+ would take me over 15 hours.
