That makes absolutely no sense why someone would pay for a beta version (now known as early access) and then the game is free. Who does that even?
Millions of people, apparently.
these are important questions i think
Hi, you're clearly new here. Welcome to gaming.
The main reason to charge money imo is so they can manage the servers better. Right n ow, they're expecting a lot of players, and there's not even a guarantee that the servers won't catch on fire just from the people that purchased supporter packs. Now imagine that it's free and they have to manage all of these people at once, instead of letting a limited amount of people in and building up the servers to the point where it can handle any amount of players that will be thrown at it
The way to get in is also called a supporter pack. If you don't want to support the game, then don't, I'll see you on full release Exile
