The closest thing that you are looking for is Path of building. If you are new to path of exile, Path of building is a program that can load and save your build. There's already a confirmation that path of building for POE 2 is on the works. If you don't want to use a different program then your best bet is to not delete that "favorite" build but looking at POE 1, at some point, that favorite build will get a force reset on its tree because of balances.
Now, this is all in POE 1. We don't know if there's new functionality like what you are looking for in POE 2.
