anybody tried to launch game using Whisky?
I will wait for Mac version. Hopefully it will be better implemented than POE 1 which I still cannot play! Despite having invested money.

Just say this 10x in a row as fast as you can:

Der Whiskymixer mixt den Whisky mit dem Whiskymixer. Mit dem Whiskymixer mixt der Whiskymixer den Whisky.
Funny enough, Steam on MacOS allows me to download the client. Though it is a huge download, so I haven't gotten around to test what would happen to if I try to launch the game.
I saw a video on youtube that someone was able to play it decently on a M4 with Crossover, so I would expect that it runs using Whiskey too.
Update: It works with Whiskey on M1 Pro but it is not powerful to play. Even on the lowest settings. The problem is the stutterging due to Shader compilation. It freezes the game for 1-2 Seconds every time a new effect goes off. I guess if you play it for a while it might be ok, but as soon as a new enemy appears, the game will freeze.
A M4 Chip might be powerful enough. If you are not moving you get like 50 FPS in the starter area with the M1 Pro Chip.
I hope the macOS support will be add to release
It works just fine on my Macbook Pro M3 Pro with Crossover after changing the renderer to DirectX12 - it crashes with the default value Vulcan. Search for the file "/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2/poe2_production_Config.ini" via Spotlight and change the line beginning with "renderer_type":

renderer_type=DirectX12
that's basically sums up all the negatives with the game (c)

For me it crashed ingame when trying to switch to dx12. I will try with the ini
I've been playing POE 2 on my mac since launch. I have an Intel Mac though.
Sorry to beat this old broken record, but Mac gaming is a dead end. PCs are dirt cheap these days, there's no excuse not buy one for gaming. You fancy Apple only warriors should live a little.
To the people in this thread with M1 Pro, or any arm64 for that matter, follow this guide and use the kegworks method: Guide for Poe on Mac [www.poewiki.net]
Would really appreciate if they made this happen sooner…. Games fun but not buying a PC for it.
