Mercenary vs Sorcerer Build
Never played POE but I will be trying out POE2 in Early access if the reviews are good. That being said I have been doing some research and am trying to decide between the Sorcerer and Merc. I just saw the Ascendencies and Witchhunter merc looks like it could be really good. But the Stormweaver Sorcerer looks pretty cool too. I have no idea which would be more beginner friendly or fun to play. Any tips? Thank you.

Both are beginner friendly. Flip a coin.

I'm new to POE as well and i'm choosing the Mercenary for my class. Not sure what ascendancy tho.

Yeah the Merc looks cool but i feel like the crossbow might be a little slow and boring at first. who knows. I have never played a game like this except champions of norath on ps2 haha

I have heard from people who played in the closed beta that merc with xbow does feel kinda clunky and slow at first, but it gets rolling pretty fast. Many people say it takes like, 30 mins to and hour before it really starts to feel good. I think some people even said they'll use a different weapon at the very start then swap to xbow.

The crossbow is pretty non-traditional in PoE2. Here take a look:

Given the 3 different types of guns crossbows, ammo and the grenades you have access to I think it'll be awesome personally.
