This is probably the reason why they prepared servers that can accommodate a million players.
Because we will all be busy entering like groupies at the concert of their beloved singer, and the server won't handle the load.
But unless GGG tells us, we are not going to know the actual number. I assume most people will be using the standalone client. Then you got Xbox, PS and Epic players. Whatever Steam shows will just be a fraction.
Jonathan said they are prepared for 1mil players. So if the servers are having a stroke, you know its over 1mil.
200k on steam.
No way PoE2 does worse than that.
1.2m CC on steam and add the other clients (4) at a 40% lowball. Total will be 3.12M.
If the avg time for a player to play on day 1 is 6 hours. that would be 4 block within a 24 hour period. Possible avg population may be as high as 12.48M for day 1 (total CC * 4).
Would be nice to see but how will the servers handle it?
This was repeated multiple times already - PoE 1 is free, PoE 2 is (currently) paid.
But yes I agree, it might go higher, this is just my safe estimate.
Wow that's some hardcore math you done there, soon we will know if your math was correct.
Tbh depending how you define downfall, but it was obvious that game will lose a lot of players, considering all or almost all games do.
