Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Are there difficulty settings in the game?
I cant believe I cant find an answer to this question so im assuming its no, but does anybody know if you are able to actually select a harder difficulty in the game or not? And I dont mean boringly grind out the entire campaign that takes 40 hours while you fall asleep 1 hitting everything just to unlock a harder difficulty, I mean from the start.

So in other-words no there is not. Well that's a shame but I figured as much. Can forget about this game now.

While there is no direct difficulty setting, you can adjust the difficulty of your maps in the end game by using items in different ways. The harder you make it the more rewards you get.

You will also be repeating the first 3 acts at a harder difficulty before the end game, because not all the acts will be in the game yet. That is temporary though until they release them.

You beat the first 3 acts, then you do it again on hard mode, followed by the endgame atlas that just keeps getting harder and harder as you "juice" the maps.

You will die repeatedly in all of these modes. Unless of course they nerfed everything.

There might be, its not out yet so no one knows for sure, but PoE 1 added Ruthless mode, so its possible this game will have a similar mode where its harder from the get go.

Poe 1 was ez af if you had gear, but could be super hard if you didnt have gear or proper build.
So everything depends on you.
I assume PoE 2 will be very similar.

As someone who has played 30 hours of PoE2 at this point, at least on Monk and Warrior, game is not easy. If you're not paying attention, you will die.

Does the warrior lack survivability?

It's bulky archetype, so it shouldn't? But I guess depends on your build and items.

No , it's more like you make your own difficulty ,if you go straight to the boss without exploring you will have a more difficult time, if you explore/have good rng it will be easier
Depends a lot of your build , rng , how well you play, exploration, farming

Having said that the campaign is 3 acts then you do them again in a Ng+ way/how Diablo 2 does it or how Poe1 did it a long time ago.
In the endgame there's the Atlas where you can run maps and roll them to make them drop more items/better stuff ,if you make the maps hard you will drop more loot, better stuff

No the difficulty comes from the level of content you are doing. Acts are the tutorial and then you settle into whatever tier of map content your build can handle.

In PoE 2, skilled players can rely less on gear and focus more on strategy and mastery. For those less experienced, grinding for better gear will be essential to overcome challenges.
