There's no way people think they're going to actually be playing this game anywhere near release time tomorrow... do they? Pre-load or not, if these guys have magically learned how to ensure resources are available for all users to login at the same time (or the following x hours) then I'll be really surprised.

Be prepared for constant login timeouts, session disconnects and random errors.

I heard they have prepared for 1 million concurrent players, but given the media traffic lately this could go to the moon

You just log in with your steam account on their website and then you will be able to download the game once the client becomes available. Which is in 2 hours I believe.

Well, they are doing it now. For this game. And the button even has the text "PRELOAD".
