12 years old CPU...Time for a new PC if gaming is a hobby of yours.
Fat chance it will run like ♥♥♥♥. Noone knows before we can play it.

it's all speculation right now yeah.. I just took a look at requirements knowing my good old mobo/cpu/ram would need a real upgrade eventually.

I mean you have 8 threads at least, but that 3.9GHz boost on a 12 year old CPU is still less than a modern CPU at 3.9GHz can do (see IPC (instructions per clock)).

All these years i never really overclocked anything and don't really plan to if that's what you are suggesting.

the person didnt ask to be lectured about upgrading they asked about the hardware they currently have smh

i think you will be able to tweak the settings to find sweet spot and hit 60fps

The real question is "will it run the game at all?" Not only it has lower performance than minimum (i7 7700), but it also dont have AVX 2.0 instruction set which migh cause the game not even launching if it requires it.

According to bottleneck calculators you already have a CPU that is too weak to drive the 2060 optimally at 1080P.
Chances are high it will not run well.

Nobody really knows how taxing the game is, but I am thinking you will have a hard time to get a consistent frame rate using that combination of CPU and GPU at 1080P.
Even at 4K you will have a bottleneck.

The CPU does not meet the recommended minimums.
The GPU, on the other hand, is among the recommended requirements.

I think that with a resolution of 1080p and setting some details that require CPU effort (such as shadows and the like) on low, you will still go above 30fps.
have u tried?

I did... and it runs but it doesn't run very well. my cpu load is always at max and the ms is always 35+ so it sucks at loading everything but everything for my pc runs fine since my 2060 super 8gb is not bad at all. (my fps wants to be like 30-45 mostly from cpu being old.

Have you tried to OC your CPU? What graphics setting are you on? Have you tried to disable "engine multithreading" option in graphics settings?

No I won't overclock this old 4 core cpu. it doesnt matter what setting I change it's all cpu bottleneck so until i get that upgraded the game is unplayable with the 35+MS from the cpu. Every other of the specs from F1 shows that everything is just fine all except the cpu working at 100%

Maybe try with Lossless Scaling frame generation and a fps limit of something like 40 which you then double up to 80 or triple to 120. But x2 mode is likely best with the 2060.

In any case this should take some of the load of the CPU. I do think 8 threads is a big problem which you already noticed.

If you got a 60hz screen then it will be a 30 fps lock in driver you need to apply.
