couch co-op

Redditors told me there will be couch co-op on launch but steam only lists online co-op..
Can someone confirm which of the options is true. because that would require me to buy another key potentially.

they even played it together with the CEO of Sony a few months ago.

As they say, the 2nd player needs to have an account as well, and 'all their content is available' when they sign in as a second player in your game on the same device.

2nd player can log in as Guest, or they can log into their own account and have access to all of their stuff. Looks like Guest creates/accesses characters on the main account, based on the video around the 3:40 mark.

I've noticed this on the PoE FAQ for PoE 2:

Yes, you can play Path of Exile 2 in couch co-op mode on a single account right from the start. The second player will be able to create a character on that account.
