My account was locked
I purchased the 30 dollar version of POE2 and refunded it because I wanted to buy more expansive version for the cosmetics and the extra stuff that comes with it. Now my account is locked and I dont know why? Has anyone experienced this before? I cant even play POE1

It's probably automatic if they don't have a system to remove points and stuff from your account automatically when refunding through steam.

Next time you should know there is an option to upgrade through the website, your only option now is to contact support. Support is overloaded right now so you might have to wait a while.

I assume you'll have to put a ticket in to GGG For that. For Future reference, the refund was unnecessary, you could have just upgraded the supporter pack through your account on their website. I assume the lock was due to the fact that when you bought EA, it included points and those didn't go away on the refund.

You're trying to fix this in the wrong place, you need to go and talk to PoE's support about this.

But this is what happens when Steam is tied to an off-Steam account. You paid via Steam, you received virtual goods on your PoE account, then you took your money back on Steam... but there's no system to take back the purchase over on the other account. So your account gets locked.

Go talk to their support and explain yourself. And next time make sure you ask first, you can literally just upgrade from one pack to another, this could have been avoided very easily.

thank you all for your replies i had no idea it was like that. I should have investigated more. Now i know why. I hope it gets resolved before the POE2 EA comes out but something tells me Im not that lucky. Damn.

Why not upgrade from the 30$ supporter pack to a higher one ?
I did that from 30$ to 60 by paying 30 more

I would submit a ticket instead of waiting for it to resolve automatically. They are fairly quick to resolve tickets!

This is probably the first time support has encountered this too, because they've never offered Steam purchases before.

Im not sure how a locked account is different from a banned account, but if you can't even log in you might have to create a stand alone account to even contact support.

Maybe you can ask on the PoE discord and someone there might know.

I've seen a few people on this forum say they've done this. And they're all gonna find they cannot login on Friday.

You can send it directly to the support email reporting that your account was locked.
