no, a game being global top seller and award winner and stuff
rarely has anything to do with player retention
lmao im 36 and been playing video gamers for 18 years
or was it 24 years? idk anymore ... anyway, youre welcome
Now compare that to the leagues after the game became popular. You get leagues like Heist, Delve, Sanctum, ect. The difference is scope and scale is massive.
If you're a fan of PoE, you want it to be as big and successful as it possibly can. We all benefit from its success.
Also we want to see Chris Wilson cry on stage again.
well to be fair alot of league mechanics are "stand in circle and kill stuff" with added extra mechanics. not bad but not that deep if you think about it.
You can reduce and minimize literally anything to some simple core. Can still be pretty complex and good.
But in general, leagues have been lower scope overall, true. Because of PoE 2 and most of the devs working on that. If anything it is impressive what the few devs doing PoE 1 leagues have been able to do.
Yea well..what do you want them to do?
At the end of the day this is an ARPG. everything is gonna be about killing enemies and looting them.
It is either stand around and kill stuff or move around and kill stuff.
In a shooter everything is either standing around and shooting other players, or moving around and shooting other players with added extra mechanics.
New maps are always just some new textures.
You can repeat this for anything ever.
But i know what you mean, i personally wish for more in depth stuff like heist for example, which changes it up a bit more.
Full price is $30.
People don't like that f2p game is actually b2p, but it's still cheap.
the people which don't like that are no fans of the game in the first place and won't stick to it, they are just sheep which follow whatever hype train and are pissed they have to pay for it
