Path of Exile 2 also includes eight-direction WASD movement—though clicking with the mouse to move is still available—and a dodge roll.
That's an article from November.
So yeah, we have WASD. This it's going to be COOL.
it plays completely different from poe1 and people have wasted their life for that game getting used to mouse only
WASD is just superior in all ways, there is not a single advantage to using mouse for both movement and aiming when you can separate both into two simultaneous inputs.
It results in better precision, simultaneous control of two functions instead of both fighting for a single input, considerably less physical movement/strain, and the ability to move/dodge in any direction independent of where you are aiming.
Diablo 4 has both control schemes, if you have access to that you can try both and it's night and day. WASD is the future of the genre.
