Seems like they don't want PoE 2 heading in that direction too, but time will tell. From what they've shown so far, game is definitely A LOT slower, though, I don't think it'll play out as slow as showcased.
PoE 1 is way too fast and ridiculous.
I don't mind screen clearing aoes so much, but don't also pair those with zapping across a whole map / dungeon / rift / whatever they will call it, in seconds.
You are a two handed brute with a giant hammer? Explode the screen and teleport!
A cunning rogue? Explode the screen and teleport!
A Powerful mage? Explode the screen and teleport!
A summoner of the undead? Explode the screen and teleport!
You got the deal.
doing a diablo 2 style feels more down my alley than poe 1 and d3 d4, so give me something more impactful, playing group in poe1 feels like your trying to speedrun vs your friend in a map
They got rid of movement skills and put dodge on a cooldown. So it is already will be a lot slower than current PoE1.
