Early access wipe
I wanted to bring up something that's been concerning regarding our Early Access characters. I strongly believe these characters should remain in Standard after the full release.

Most of people are casual players who enjoy the game in our limited free time. Having to constantly create new characters isn't just time-consuming - it can be genuinely frustrating for those who can't dedicate hours every day to the game.

The game should cater to both hardcore and casual players. Sure, i understand the leagues and everything that makes the game fresh. While some might enjoy frequent fresh starts, many prefer to stick with and develop existing characters. Keeping Early Access characters in Standard would be a great way to respect both playstyles.

Also, makes no sense saying items etc won´t be balanced in EA, we all know they can fix/patch/balance stuff independent of which server the characters are

Its not possible for them to due to the fact alone, items and what not will be very different from EA to full release

you also don't need to, play league you can play standard.

you pretty much have what you want,

They already stated even after game release the characters from early access will have their own early access league. All is probably subject to change, but you characters will always be there just in different league then standard.

It would not be possible for them to go to standard, as during EA they will rework a lot of systems and items multiple times. You cannot just put every completely broken item or skill into standard. But you will be able to continue playing those characters as they will create an "Early Access" league and you can play them there.

Why would they, if items get there data from the game's data set, just have item updated as they update datasets like many others MMO's and ARPG's, Same with skills. On skill updates, reset those skill's skillpoints and let player decide if they wanna reinvest..

Locking players to a "special" league your not gonna play after early access kinda breaks the fun, and feeling of progression.

Im out after reading this, will prob play it though in 5 years when it releases.

They could have done a complete wipe but instead they will create a separate league.

I'm totally fine with it.

Huge balance changes will come throughout Early Access so it was to be expected.

There might be some cosmetics to unlock in early access, like leagues in PoE1. But who knows.
While i'm fine with just playing the characters in early access, some cosmetic unlocks would add some feeling of accomplishment

I continue to be amazed at the Once Human players who come here and continue to whine about seasonal play, as if it's some new concept. "OMG, you're wiping all my progress and killing all the fun. This is going to KILL the game".

My recommendation is to wait until the full release and then start on Standard. The broken stuff that's going to come out of the EA needs to be kept in it's bubble.

Theyve already said that when the game officially launches it will launch with a league, Characters created through closed access will go to standard

They will go to a league alongside Standard, not Standard itself. That EA league will not allow you to create new characters though.

"Constantly create new characters" buddy, it's two characters if you really aren't the type that likes restarting.

Surely after 6+ months of playing there will be at least 1 other class that piques your interest. Or you'll want to experience all 6 acts of the story once it releases and will need a fresh character to do so.

We're not talking about GGG wiping all your characters out and making you restart every 3 months here. We're talking making one character to play in the beta and then one in the release version of the game. If it's that big of a problem and drain on your free time, then wait for the release.

there is no wipe but on release ur EA chars will remain in an EA league but release is also gonna more than likely be the first league
