It seems to be good in PoE2 though.
it is a map of infinite locations connected by paths
there will be ways to manipulate what you'll encounter and get on those locations
its randomized, but not totally random, more like an algorithm
despite it looking similiar visually, I don't see it having much in common with monolith, except for the basic similarity of it being maps connected by paths
because the map content in last epoch gets very boring and you start to see all its layouts quite fast, as well as the objectives are very limited, poe 1 had roughly 114 maps and all of them were unique maps with a different boss in it, i did like that more tbh :), if its INIFINITE i dont want to see the same objective after playing for 10 hours in its endgame :), handcrafted just FEELS better,
I just can't remember the name of it since it wasnt added to the game.
It had nodes to pick from and it was on a white-blue background
There will be 100 handcrafted boss maps for full release + the pinnacle mechanic.
Normal maps don't sound bad either with 4+ different league mechanics (potentially overlapping), the ability to manipulate what kind of league mechancis you would like to encounter, a large atlas skill tree influencing the maps, special maps with specific spawn conditions, random features added to maps and especially monsters designed with interesting abilities.

Okay well, it's not going to be either of those. The game doesn't rain uniques on you D4-style. It also doesn't take a week to find one. There's definitely a happy medium in there somewhere.
Literal hundreds of them but the lowest tier possible XD.
ok, well I do hope a unique or legendary drop increases my heart rate.
That is not a good sign. I will have to try it out. Just hoping for some quality over quantity drops.
LE has nothing. Only a boring net of the same maps over and over and over with the same garbage boss at the end of the timeline. LE's bosses are all absolutely garbage. These cant be compared even to poe 1 bosses imho. EHG is to scared to reward the player and you can feel it every single minute doing monos. Their broken faction system also doesnt help considering the devs are to incompetent to get rid of exploits forcing to reset the economy if something breaks again.
And no I didnt play their newest pinnacle boss system yet since the additions were far to meager for me to dig into LE again.
LE is the biggest disappointment next to diablo 4. The whole game is mostly just some illusion because the skill trees look interesting at first but after that.. everything quickly goes down the drain.
