The key is applied on your account , the Steam key is just to play Poe2 on Steam
If you give someone your steam key they will not have access to the EA
All mtx is one one Account so both Poe1-2 will have all the mtx
How to redeem a key?
Upon purchasing your first supporter pack that includes an Early Access key, that key will be automatically redeemed on the account the purchase was made. You don’t have to do anything else, just download the game client when it’s available and login on launch day!
If you're unsure about your status, or want to view any of your keys, this information is available under my-account/early-access.
If you have purchased a key and/or have access granted for one PC game client (Stand-alone, Steam, or Epic), but wish to play on another game client, you will be able to do so by claiming a key to unlock access to that client. These are available at my-account/early-access and can be redeemed on the relevant platform's store. Please note these keys only unlock the client in your library, they do not on their own provide early access to your account.
As an example, if you purchase a Supporter Pack through the Path of Exile website, you will be able to claim a key to unlock the client in your Steam Library.
When will I be able to download the client?
A few days prior to the Early Access launch. We’ll announce the details in the news, so you won’t miss it!
If your Steam Account and PoE account are linked, or if you only have a Steam account and use that to play PoE, then you should be OK.
On the Path of Exile site, you can go to My Account, and on the left-hand side there is a link that says "Path of Exile 2 Early Access" click that and it will tell you if you're eligible or not.
You can play both Standalone or Steam if they're linked together and it doesn't matter what platform you purchased it on.
does it say Your account is eligible for Path of Exile 2 Early Access! Thank you for your (or your benevolent friend's) support! ? If yes you are good to go
Third Party Key: ..........................................
This key can be redeemed on the Steam store.
Please note this key only unlocks the client in your library, it will not provide early access to your account and should not be given away.
