Its not like PoE1 sanctum where you need specific high dps build?
Ultimatum is just bunch of mobs.
Ultimatum was one of my favorite league mechanics. When they finally brought it back and made it core, people got really excited. Only it was far less rewarding compared to the league. Everyone knows loot > fun and thats why it gets a bad rep now.
I just want to get the Ascension points.
I don't like the Sanctum one but the other looked manageable since there is no hit penalty.
Have just new map and nothing else? Then you would say "WhY iT hAs nO ThING bUT MaPS????"
Or "just" make few completely new mechanics that will take a lot of time to make, instead of making them one by one for each of future leagues?
Not to say PoE2 is literal sequel of PoE1.
Exactly. For a game that's allegedly all about letting people play the content they like, why force us to do the same 1-3 PoE leagues to play the rest of the game? It's just tedious filler. They could have just as easily given the ascensions at set levels or something and I don't think anyone would have minded. After the first one or two times you play the main story you just want to rush through the story anyways, so padding it more is very meh.
I personally strongly dislike these "hardcore" mechanics where you only have one life and if you die, or get a crash, or the servers bug out, or you get an unwinnable scenario, then you gotta start all over again. If people wanna play hardcore, go for it. Don't force it onto other players.
Did you get to play those leagues when they were around in PoE?
I would have to try them in game to see if I like them in Poe2 , but they look really good so far
