What would be a beginner friendly class to pick?
I only played poe once deep into the end game, played a necro build because it felt like it takes least amount of skill. What you guys think would be a good onboarding class for a person that does not have much experience in arpgs and poe itself?

Also maybe I should mention I never played without exactly copying a guide, I intend to change that. and that's why I am looking for something that I can have easier and more streamlined class if anyone have ideas.

Any Tanky build.

Well like you said, minion build are beginner friendly as they are really safe and easy to play. Ranged character are also a safer bet so if I would have recommendation it would be; Witch, Sorceress and Ranger. But the most important thing is what you want to play.

I was thinking of ranger aswell it looked very easy to play and you dont need to theory craft to get it going. Extra projectiles and damage are easy to understand mechanics :D

if it is anything like poe 1 getting powerful is easy, staying alive is harder!

glass cannons need extra loving to stay viable

I never played warrior before, I am assuming it is the tankiest class. From what you have seen do you think an old noob can handle it?

it is far more forgiving on your character but harder on your body irl, lol

you will have less to worry about defensively but your damage will be low and you have to work harder to clear / kill than other classes that can clear two screens ahead of the player.

when i say work harder I mean that an archer can walk into the room and just start spraying indiscriminately but a melee class has to round up the baddies so they are all in range and then start attacking. Mobs that are scripted to walk away from the player have to be chased down, AoE effects can't be avoided as easily... things like that...

melee has always been the weakest build archetype in PoE but at the same time they are great at... not dying as often!

Mercenary Witch hunter with wsad movement for the win. Plays like a top down shooter.

Isn't there this new option where the game will Recommend what next Skill Point to take?

PoE1 required to spend two weeks on forums to research the best class available for the season.

I expect no less from PoE2 so you'll hear the factual answer to your question around December 20-25. The rest of the answers are s good as stupid as chatGPT3.5 AI hallucinations :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Yeah, umm, they're called glass cannons because they are fragile and useless outside burst. If you want to be viable, don't build glass cannon unless you have farmed the endgame as your main job for a month or two.
