Path of Exile 2

Will PoE 2 work on this hardware configuration?
Intel Core i5-9300HF CPU @ 2.40GHz, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VRAM, SSD. I know it's a potato, it's my old laptop. I also know what the minimum requirements are, but I'm asking because the video card and RAM should be fine, it just looks like my processor is a bit too weak. However, maybe someone has run PoE 2 in closed beta on a similar configuration and can confirm whether it will work or not? Thanks in advance!

@sertonin I know what the minimum requirements are, but I don't know much about processors and that's why I'm asking if this particular processor will handle PoE 2. Thanks in advance!

if you play poe 1 and it runs like sheet the chances are that poe2 wont even boot up.

Lets say your laptop never before got so warm. Just install POE1 for free and try it. I have never had a game make my graphics card run as hot as POE1, which means it is really optimized and uses it all.
So at least try POE1 and clean your Laptop fans and cooler fins.

Thanks for the replies. I've played a few leagues in PoE 1, including on this laptop, and it worked quite well, but I won't have more powerful hardware for a few months, so it looks like I'll have to give up on PoE 2 for now. Cheers!

Early access starts on 6th Dec. Until then we have no idea.

Still plenty of time till EA launch. Download PoE 1, go through campaign, start mapping and try to kite as many enemies as possible on your screen. If it'll run fine with all the ♥♥♥♥ going on, you should be okay

It will 99% run, there are no technical features your hardware is missing. The question is how
good it will run. I heard the devs say it runs 40fps on a steamdeck. So if you have the cash, try it.

Yes it should run
1080p 30 fps medium at the very least
But wouldn't surprise me if you can run even 1080p 60 fps high settings

I think this game will be well optimized

Im running on a very similar setup... Loading times are a bit long and its very playable... even in party. It will depend on how much you care about fps...

Everybody cares about FPS. There has to be a way to tell people to stop buying borderline defective Intel CPUs and a $500 nvidia card to compensate because it's a total dead end
