Controller support with mouse/keyboard?

Anyone know if POE 2 will have much better controller support that also lets you use mouse for things like stash management? I booted up POE 1 after hearing a lot of people compliment POE 1 controller support already but it's absolutely horrible, i went into standard league to try cleaning up some tabs and practice using controller, it's absolutely horrible! Trying to take items out of a tab you have to keep moving stick to right after each item you move? wtf why doesn't cursor stay where it is? I can't see a list of all my tabs like in keyboard/mouse mode? I only see like 4 tabs and have to scroll to right for freaking ever to get to a specific tab? what the freaking hell? Why can't i just use keyboard/mouse layout with controller? actually why can't i use mouse, why is it i can click on items with mouse but it doesn't do anything unlike in mouse and keyboard mode? why do i have to restart game to use mouse and keyboard then resstart when i am ready to run a map to play controller? are you kidding me?

I am hoping to god POE 2 has better controller support because POE 1 is largely responsible for me developing carpal tunnel and i can't play games well anymore with keyboard. I can manage inventory with mouse and keyboard, but game play needs to be on controller. I hope i can use both and it's nothing like POE 1.. please please.

Last Epoch for example, their controller support is great, it's fun to play with controller then pick up my mouse when i do inventory things on the fly, no need to restart my game, UI doesn't need to change. If POE 2 works like POE 1 controller support, i fear i won't be able to play it very much and that will be a massive bummer.

Thanks so much. I am really hoping this is out for POE 2.0 or i am going to be so disappointing. I just don't want to manage inventory with a controller or restarting game every time i am back in town and need to manage stash.

Sadly. this will not be available in early access. at least not at launch. This means i will have to painfully play mouse and keyboard at launch which will be nearly impossible for me, i can't play WSAD controls anymore on keyboard without constantly hitting wrong keys while in pain and no way i will be playing controller dealing with stash and other horrible console UI interfaces with a controller. I can't believe that they can't do what last epoch does and just keep PC UI for both and let me use mouse on interfaces and controller in combat, i can't believe they are doing this to me.

This is desperately needed sooner rather than later. I'm not a programmer, but it seems like it shouldn't be that hard of thing to do. I could be wrong, maybe it's a coding nightmare...but doesn't seem it should be.

From a programming standpoint, it is not even hard to implement, unless they coded it absolutely horribly. I have created games in unity and godot that allowed inputs from all possible sources at the same time. It actually takes more work to restrict this behavior.

I imagine maybe there are some UI bugs that would need to be worked out, like if you started dragging with a controller and wanted to finish with the mouse, and other things like that. Again though, not hard to implement.

Just get a mouse that has the keypad on the side. You can map your skills to that and then never have to press anything else besides WASD

It makes the game play SOO smooth too. It’s pretty much the only way to truly optimally play
