Search bar on right side if you looking for something specific

Some notes:

- All Ascendancies/Subclasses unveiled by GGG: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3592012

- If you want to look for some theorycrafting stuff on youtube, check videos that posted today after GGG unveiled ascendancies, most of "build guides" posted yesterday or earlier that are most likely clickbaits.

- Plus check if that youtuber is actually poe youtuber, if not, they likely have no idea about how to make proper builds, and you following those trash builds then will spend time trying to build something that was dogsh*t from beginning.

- Official PoE2 Wiki run by GGG: https://www.poe2wiki.net
!DO NOT VISIT FEXTRALIFE WIKI, ITS SCAM AND TRASH!

- Predownload date is not announced yet, so its pointless to ask random people in steam forums because noone know exact date.

About game itself:
- PoE2 as well as PoE is free game on release.

- PoE2 early access is paid, either $30 or free if you spent over $480 on PoE. Don't want to pay, wait release when it will be free.

- PoE2 early access start at Dec 6, will last atleast 6 months.

- No wipe at the end of EA, your stuff will be moved to EA server (separate from standard/permanent server) where you can continue playing, or as most people do, start fresh when new leagues release. At the end of league, all your stuff goes to standard(permanent) server.

- PoE and PoE2 doesn't have paid content, or DLCs. New big updates that come with new leagues are free and released every few months, previously it was every 3-4 months, except most recent league that will last 6 months due to PoE2 EA.

Sometimes content that was added in newest league will remain in game, in both standard and future leagues. In this case difference between standard and league is that standard has all content from previous leagues, except newest/ongoing league.

- No offline mode, likely never will be. It's not easy task, while also demand of it is very low. GGG would consider it if huge part of playerbase asked for it, until then it's not happening.

- PoE 2 will likely have same server locations as PoE:
Australia, Texas, Washington D.C., California, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Milan, Brazil. Paris, Moscow, Singapore, Japan. While China has their own servers and client.

- Any mtx and stash tabs bought in PoE will also be in PoE2 as long as its possible to use. Like if you had mtx for skill in PoE that not exist in PoE2, ofc you cant use it.

Every few weeks there's discounts for stash tabs at weekend, if you want to buy stash tabs then better wait discounts.

What stash tabs to buy from more to less important: Currency, Map, Fragment, Divination, atleast 1 regular premium stash tab to be able to sell items. Rest if you actually need them .

- Steam requirements aren't accurate as for most games in steam. If you want to see somewhat accurate performance, search youtube for your gpu performance in PoE.

What to expect for performance in PoE2.

1. While PoE2 has better graphics, which logically means more load on hardware, its more than just graphics.
2. PoE1 is 11 years old game, that has changed a lot since release, tons of content added, many visual improvements with one big visual update, which means PoE1 most likely has a lot of "spaghetti" code over all those years, which affect performance, compare to PoE2 which has much less if any, for now lol
3. Besides that in PoE2 you can't juice maps as much as in PoE1 making maps having very high mob density, as well as character builds in PoE2 will not be as much screen cancer as some PoE1 builds can. Those two things are big factors that affect performance.
4. So, PoE2 will most likely have better performance in endgame compare to PoE1.

Actual specs you might need for low settings 1080p 60fps:
CPU: Ryzen 5600/i5 12400f or equalent.
RAM: at very least 16gb, its just todays minimum for any PC.
GPU: rx6600/rtx3060 or equalent.
For 2k/4k 60fps+:
CPU: Ryzen 5700x3D if you already on AM4 and tight budget, otherwise 9800x3D.
RAM: 32GB, if its DDR5 for Ryzen then preferably 6000Mhz CL30 or as close to that.
GPU: From 7800xt and above, or equalent from Nvidia from 4070 and above. AMD is usually better choice because how much cheaper it is in some cases for same performance.

- Monitor support up to 21:9. Wider monitors will have black bars on each side. It's not technical issue, but design, having ultrawide monitor gives advantage. Game has its fov on purpose, its not like out of nowhere.

GIGA important: game must be on SSD, it matters a lot for overall gameplay, load times, game stability and performance.

About in-game stuff:
- While there are technically classes in PoE and PoE2, there's no restrictions on weapons or skills to use. You can get summon skeletons and slap it on mercenary and it will work, or use some fireballs on warrior, likely bad idea, but some stuff like that might end up being good

- Only things you need to equip any weapon is attribute and level requirements. As long as you have it, you can use any weapon on any Ascendancy(Subclass).

- Only things you need to equip any skill is attribute and level requirements, and in some cases weapon type.

Like if its some slam skill, it will require mace, because its just weird to slam ground with sword or axe.

- Class only affect starting point on skill tree. There will be 12 classes each with 3 Ascendancies (Subclasses). 36 Ascendancies in total, while at start of this EA we will have access to 6 classes and 2 Ascendancies per class, 12 in total.

- There's one skill tree for all Ascendancies(Subclasses). Same idea as in PoE, but in PoE2 its just completely different tree with different passives, with few keystone passive (big ones) from PoE1. Biggest difference is that in PoE2 skill tree there's very few life passives.

- Each Ascendancy(Subclass) has it's own small skill tree with very noticeable and powerful passives that determine type of gameplay.

Like you can do summons on Deadeye, but Deadeye having ascendancy passive that add +1 projectile to spells/attacks won't help much for summons because its simply not affect summons.

While there will be a lot of combos that canonically wouldn't be normal. Same example with deadeye thats all about bows and range, and same ascendancy that grant +1 projectile. There are some melee skills that shot projectiles and will benefit from it, or any projectile spell as well.

- You can change your skill tree by spending gold to respec passive on tree, as well as change passives in your ascendancy(subclass tree).

Changing to different ascendancy (subclass) within one class will not be possible during EA, GGG still has discussions about this. I think we absolutely should be able to change ascendancy like we do in PoE1.

- Some of you might know or heard how complex PoE1's crafting system is, so good news i guess is that in PoE2 is much more simple atleast for now.

Biggest difference is that in PoE2 there's no crafting bench, which is big part of crafting system in PoE1.

In PoE2 for now there's much less ways to craft gear, it will be basic currency, essences, and crafting with Rog from Expedition which is just choosing one of two options.

Compare to PoE1 that also has fossils, harvest crafting, beast crafting, recombinator, betrayal with veiled mods, item influence with each adding different mods, and exarch/eater implicits and eldritch currency, harbinger currency and tainted currency. In other words, a lot more mechanics than PoE2 has currently.

- Gearing system is more or less same, common, magic, rare and unique rarities. Common gear has no mods. Magic gear has up to 2 mods, one prefix, one suffix, its basically two groups of mod pools. Rare gear has up to 6 mods, 3 prefix/3 suffix. Unique gear has set of unique mods that only can be changed numerically.

- About Reliquary keys. When you buy $480 pack, on release you could add any unique to drop pool of Reliquary Key, you could choose color of foil effect and text that appears in chat when someone get your item from Reliquary key.

Reliquary keys are in-game items, only way to get them is by dropping, they drop anywhere after campaign, tradeable between players, so some people like to gamble them by buying lots of keys and opening them hoping to get rare(expensive unique).

More rarer unique you choose for reliquary key - less likely it will drop, atleast in PoE1 now.

Since one item base, for example Heavy Belt, has multiple uniques, and those items drop unidentified, so some people do a little $480 trolling. They pick cheap unique Heavy Belt, add text like "OMG YOU WON", and troll people that got that item thinking they got expensive unique Heavy Belt until they hover cursor on that item and see that its cheap trash lol

It's just how it is, also demand for it is very low, GGG will no bother with offline mode unless huge part of playerbase really wants it, otherwise just not happening. Yet people post here thinking GGG will just go and do it because someone asked for it in steam discussion lol

Best thing to buy for points. We have stash in game, for new player default one will be enough for a while, but then at some point it wont, then you will consider buying more stash tabs.

Your storage space for game currencies and whatever else you loot in game. The free space is limited to four tabs. The more characters you play the more space you'll need.

Rather than create another post, I would like to just ask a quick thing here.

Can you switch platforms and use the same account?

I'm trying to decide to buy the key here on Steam or POE2 official website.

https://pathofexile2.com/buy-packs

I have a question, so if you buy a key on the official site and used it on your Account/Steam.

Does the progress also transfer if you switch to PS5? I know this game is a "FREE" to download. But if you login with your character progress it should be cross progression on another platform right?

Also good to know that the Early Access is only 6 months? I thought it would be a year.

A bit disappointed with the Ultrawide still having black bars. I don't do any of the league/ladder things, so It's a bit disappointing that it's still has Black bars.

I know it's because of leaderboards and all, but at least Diablo IV and many other ARPGs (Diablo III/Last Epoch/Titan Quest/Grim Dawn/Wolcen/Van Helsing Final Cut-Warhammer Chaosbane/Inquisition) all have it.

I hope they consider it on a future patch.

Definitely excited for the game! I'm getting the $60 (Lord of Ogham), but may change it to the $100 (King of the Faridun) if I feel that the game is worth it.

"No wipe at the end of EA, your stuff will be moved to EA server where you can continue playing or as most people do, start fresh when new leagues release. At the end of league, all your stuff goes to standard(permanent) server."
This is not true, EA characters are going to separate realm, called EA, which means you can play you character but almost noone goes to play on there after full release, you it's just gonna be a graveyard
