That is why it was delayed three weeks to ensure all POE1 purchases carry over to POE2.
It was explained in the developer announcement a few weeks back as to the reason for the delay.
Not sure on this, there was a brief statement in yesterdays reveal, that it will not carry over for the "New" weapon types, but it will carry over for existing weapon types in POE2.
Yes that is what I said, where applicable. Obviously a cosmetic you buy for a new weapon in PoE 2 can't carry over to PoE 1 as that weapon doesn't exist to apply it to.
So a cosmetic for the spear you buy in PoE 2 can't carry over to 1. But a cosmetic you buy for a sword can carry over.
There's even worse things than that: The goblin "musical" troupes.
