I dont get the F2P bit
Apparently it will be in EA for at least 6 months. The game is F2P, but at the same time, need to spend at least 30$ to play, which makes it B2P. Or what am I missing?

you pay $30 for $30 worth in game cash currency to buy in game cosmetic (outfits/costumes) the early access is just a bonus

yeah they are like - hey guys PoE is free to play.

But hey, we just saw Ashes of creation sell more than 100 000 copies for 120$ each for ALPHA, we might aswell make our beta 30$

Not remotely the same. Massive difference; AoC alpha won't give you the game, only access to the alpha. You're still gonna have to buy the game AFTER it.

PoE early access is paid yes, but pretty much everything once it fully releases is free. And not just that, it's not like you lose access to the game after the early access. This is a much fairer system than AoC is doing.

They did this for PoE1 as well, so trying to pretend they're doing it because AoC is doing it is absolutely absurd.

People are paying $30 to be bug testers, something companies used to have to pay people for. Gullible people be gullible.

I have 4500h in Poe1 ,for me this is the easiest 30$ EA purchase , Poe2 looks amazing and after playing Poe1 since 2012 , with how good and polish last Poe1 league was it's a no brainer, the Poe devs are super fast with fixes ,they got faster and faster in the 12 years that I've played

I'd rather have EA be FTP while they are testing and polishing broken strats in the game and when its actually finished i'd gladly pay and play instead of worrying wtf random magical sounding things mean in supporter bundles...

Still i'm going to give the game a shot since the devs seem to play their own game and engage with the community frequently (i'm new to POE games)

the people paying to get in would have bought supporter packs anyway, most likely
As a matter of fact, most PoE1 Player already paid more than 480$ dls in MTX for PoE1 so we don't need to paid an extra 30$

Yes. Wait for a sale, you'll get them cheaper.

If you don't feel sure about PoE2, play PoE1 for a bit, most of the knowledge you will get from playing in PoE1 would transfer to PoE2, and if in this 6months (minimum) of EA you feel comfortable you can spend 30$ (300 coins is around 2/3 good MTX if you're curious) an try the EA 👌🏻

Yes also the mtx you buy/bought in PoE1 would transfer to PoE2 in time
