What's the objective of the game?

Long-time PoE 1 player here. For me, my big PoE 1 objective was always killing all the Ubers (which I can happily say I have achieved). In-fact, if I had to define how to "finish" the game, if you wanted an end, that's how I would define it.
After watching the live-stream yesterday, yes the end-game seems vast, but what's the ultimate objective? What are you working towards? So it looks like each mechanic has its own boss... but surely you would only pursue that which you enjoyed right? Which means that that progression and those bosses are meant to be on the path of achieving something greater. Which is what exactly? There was so much information in that live-stream yesterday, maybe I missed something

But they also shortly mentioned some kind of content which is the hardest content in all of PoE2. but they didnt want to spoil everything yet, so they didnt really dive into it.
I guess thats the first Uber in PoE2

They showed that there is an uber boss in PoE2 but they do not say what kind of boss it is.

im the same type of player as you, i seek the greatest challenges in these games, because im a MMORPG player which wants to go higher and higher.
PoE isnt really built like that, but it has some content to chase after at least

and mmorpgs are so garbage nowadays there isnt much alternative anyways lmao

A tower that you can get access to by killing all the uber bosses
