Did i receive an extra key?

I bought the game from steam but on the game's website i got a message giving me a key for steam while thanking me for buying the early access.

I don't know. I bought it when the packs appeared on steam. And just now checked the website and i got the points.

you still need the key to play the game so do not share with anyone...Also i baought the 60$ but didnt receive my stuff yet on POE website

It's not contradicting. Access to the client (as in the game client, or AppID) is separate from the authentication servers actually letting you log in and play the game. The key in your inbox only grants access to the App ID/client download, not to login.

I wonder what that line of the key not giving access would mean for the supporter packs that come with more than 1 key. Surely they wouldn't just give you launcher keys but not actual access

Wondering this as I am currently trying to get my friends to give me 30 bucks so I can just upgrade and give them access lol. half-off T-shirt

For now i'm gonna keep it close until release in 2 weeks, and see if i can play the game without the need of it.

it won't give you an extra steam key but an extra early access key, give it your friend and he can put in his poe account on the website, after that he will get a new steam key as well as steam is only about downloading the client.

If you guys bought it on Steam first. Check your account Messages tab on the game's website.
It will give you a link to /my-account/early-access.
Check and see if you got one as well.
