Should i get diablo 4 or wait for PoE2?

Genuine question, the last time that ive played diablo was in 2013-14 maybe, i got it for the PS3. I tried the free diablo 4 trial on steam and i honestly liked the game, but i checked the steam forums and people were saying how bad d4 is right now and that poe2 will be a better game.

Don't bother with D4 it's dreadful, I recently tried Diablo 3 after a 12 year break and it's the superior game, it's evolved significantly since I last played. Somehow a 12 year old game looks and plays better than D4, imo your ps3 version will probably keep you better occupied till Nov.

Diablo 4 is super good for your first 50-100 hours

graphics, atmosphere, soundeffects and gameplay-feel all are vastly superior over PoE 1

the thing is past 100 hours+ you run out of content and dont have mutch to do in endgame, but until then Diablo 4 is a REAL GOOD game.

I thought the campaign was no fun, not really nice to replay that one. For me, they made a mistake with that. After one character I was done, did not want to do it another time.

Diablo 4 is in the xbox gamepass so just get that for a month and play through the story. You can find cheap gamepass keys online.

I wish that was the case, I really wanted to love it and bought it in very early access. After launch the last big patch just killed the game.

D4 isn't too bad, After main game story there really isn't much to do so it gets to being like why bother. Give it another year or two and maybe they will have better endgame content, lol

D4 is honestly more geared for the casual ARPG player. It's not like POE there is a very limited skill tree and limited builds for each class.

Also if you played D3, alot fo what is in D4 is pretty much a revised/reskin version of D3 just not as good, so there is that.

I stopped playing Path of exile after 2 years, for playing another game i jumped some season/changes, when i come back to path of exile i wasn't anymore in the "loop" of gameplay and i dropped it for playing diablo 3.

Now i'm actually playing diablo 4 from season 3 to now, if you are interested on the story is a good game, if you want a diablo like game, stay away from it.

Diablo 4 actually is a mmo with f2p mechanic like daily limited resources you can get(summon material to summon specific bosses), boring and dull endgame, which is even worse thanks to the rarity of item to summon bosses, basically for some bosses you need to farm items for one hour or more and next you kill the boss(stronger version) in less of a minute.

Have even the worse balance i have seen in a diablo or in general action rpg hack n slash and is going to get the third big rework in few months and is the biggest, seems to play an early access game.

If you have gamepass pc for other game, you can try it basically for free, i'm doing in this way, but i'm surely not going to buy the dlc coming in october, which will be alot probably needed for endgame because have exclusive access to a type of equipment(runeword).

Personally i have decided to abandon diablo 4 after knowing their plan for season 6, if i need to choice between a buy to play early access with a buy to play dlc coming with a bad plan for the future and a f2p early access which i not known his future, i prefer the going with one i not know his future.

yh i think that ill get game pass and if i end up liking the end game ill buy it on steam.
