mmmm with wasd i hope the pvp will be good this time around. like lost ark. usually its trash in arpgs but i hope they dedicate a lot of time and resources to make it balanced and fun cuz farming mobs 24/7 just shouldnt be the only thing to do in a arpg

If you don't want to wipe 200 times per act learn to use wasd, while you are clicking on the ground to move somewhere, other player with wasd has attacked two times, and if the encounter spams things on floor and you have to spam moves, guess what, yes you right; you won't attack as much as wasd

Some people prefer WASD but it will allow controlling it just like PoE 1 for those that prefer that.

To be honest, doing the kiting thing isn't hard at all. I don't think wasd is necessary for that. I'd rather see a system like in Magicka where the character keeps moving while you cast your spells. I think wasd belongs more in third person games like Elden Ring, Monster Hunter and stuff like that. If PoE wants to go that direction I'm fine with it, but wasd for top down just feels half assed to me.
