Poe sunset ?
Is Poe gonna get sunset with the release of Poe II ?
How the new game looks it's more likely you get more Diablo players then Poe1 players.

no way - p1, p2, p3 (guns), p4 (cyberpunk), p5 (scifi), p6 (turnbased), p7 (jrpg), p8 (tabletop rpg), p9 (rts), p10 (city building sim), p11 (boardgame), p12 (mmo)

Not having the hardcore PoE1 players isn't a bad thing.
I'm looking forward to a more challenging game, environment, etc.
The face smash, clear a screen at once, speed stuff has gotten monotonous and mind numbingly boring.

I really, really hope you are right and that's the direction we go with POE2.

Because the "vroom vroom ultra-fast kill the entire screen with a single movement skill" gameplay that POE1 devolved into isn't what attracted me to POE in the first place.

There is plenty of hard content in PoE 1 even if you have a great build and good gear the notion that you can kill everything in seconds while moving the speed of light is not right.

This game might end up with a slower pace but acting like PoE 1 is easy is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous.
