I would like if they added them too at least for PoE 2.
They can easily be turned off (or even set to off as default) as i;m sure most of the community is used to / prefers.
But why not add them for people who want them.

There will be no damage numbers in this game ever. Also you mostly need them when the game has world autoscaling, because it is the only way to feel a character progression. PoE 1 and 2 have no autoscaling and there are a plenty of other ways to feel how you character power grows.

What's the point of putting on gear and upgrading skills if you can't see the consequences? What's the point of game about numbers if you can't see the numbers?
These numbers still exist. just give the opportunity to activate these numbers to those who are interested, what's the problem?

Well, diablo 2 was the game about numbers and had no damage numbers flying above monsters, and it was great anyway. I think it is better to feel the consequences of putting on gear and upgrading skills on how quickly monsters and bosses are dying, how build feels to play and how well you deal with the content. And not just in numbers that get bigger and bigger and at the same time game feeling doesn't change at all.

I understand why you want them (when I came to poe from Diablo 3 I wanted them too), but it is a principle position of game company, so it will not happen. And I would say, you quickly get used to it. But if it is very improtant to you, well, probably this is game not for you, unfortunately.

Apparently there is damage numbers. Not sure about the other things though. What do you mean by visual information though? Because there is a dodge.

Because PoE was made to be a spiritual successor to Diablo 2, which predates that being a common feature of games.

Therefore, combat numbers, and many other modern QoL the genre has seen since 2013, are naughty and bad. Whether players understand the origin reason or not, if they considered themselves a "PoE purist" then combat numbers are a no go.

Personally, despise them, disable in D4 and any other game has them on by default. But I also typically solo play these games more for the story than anything, breaks muh immersion right.

So i was looking to see if there was damage numbers in the game because thats literally the only thing i hated about POE 1 now that i have damage numbers in POE 2 im sold. Lets all be honest Diablo 4 is going to die lol.

the damage numbers in d4 are awful
I'd still like a combat log so I can see what killed me out of the 1 trillion effects on screen.

Which leads to the same problem PoE1 has, which is the only way to feel powerful is clearing multiple screens of mobs with 1 click while running at the speed of light through a map. Progression will be enemies on screen + time needed to kill them all = garbage.

Hopefully they didn't add dodge roll and blocking mechanics just to do the same thing again.
