What is the difference between easy, normal, hard and extreme mode?
Sadly there is no wiki for this game (yet)
Can someone please explain to me the difference of the modes?
I have noticed that in hard mode I get to choose one trinket more than in normal mode
and apparently in extreme mode you get to pick all 3 no matter the character
(I dont get how that makes the game harder)
I have tried some hard runs and have failed them so far. so there has to be a difference but I cant tell what it is

please brighten my mind. thank you :3

I believe that the enemy variants become more difficult and numerous as difficulty increases. You may not notice it much between Easy and Normal, but on Extreme, I didn't see the typical 1-damage enemies in the starting levels.

With that said, having three trinket slots makes Extreme mode easier than Hard mode. This is a problem.

EDIT: So there are waaaaay more elite monsters in Extreme mode. There are more stages and tougher enemies as well.

thank you
right, I wanted to take a look at the amount of rooms to clear

and yes I at least noticed in my hard attempts, that the amount of lich (6 damage ghosts with one "any" slot that return the damage) has been much higher than usual

and yeah there really seem to be more elite enemies now that I get further
