If you get a variation of currency items you'll be able to hit the 10 gold damage cap and using 1 6die for 10 AoE Dmg skill is INSANE value imo. My last run on King Hard I had insane gold econ with Gold Chest, i had about 37+ gold for the last shop, which was stage 28 i believe?

I feel like there needs to be a variation of his skill depending on whether gold is skill-capped (e.g., currently 10+). I mean, if you put in the pain of skipping items to get to capped, then you should see some reward. For example: if you have skill-capped gold, then in addition to its usual effect, the King's skill converts a target exact monster dice to total dice -- the idea here being that these converted dice can be targeted the next time the King's skill becomes available.
I don't suggest buy that trinket too early because rolling all 6's seems powerful but you really need a variety of different dice for most encounters.
I think many players spend all their gold. If you like to do that, don't use the king.
I also basically keep my gold at around 10, anything after 10 is when I start shopping. Even then, most items are not enough to actually do anything because most items are seemingly useless in this game. +1 health on stage start? Heal 2 from food? Doesn't help king, I'm gonna be stuck with a dumb ability that doesn't actually help me in any way outside of a boss stage and makes it frustratingly annoying to play that specific character.
