Bug reporting thread
I'm regularly reading this thread to collect any bugs to be fixed in post-launch patches.

Known critical issues:
  • Some players report difficult scrolling in listboxes. If this is you, please get in touch with me on Discord where I'm "dawnsbury", or contact me at dawnsbury@gmail.com with your contact information on another instant messenger, especially if you're willing to do a debugging session with me over text chat or a screenshare.

If your game crashes: First, please report the crash to me so I can fix it. Second, if you want to continue playing in the meantime, go to Steam, right-click Dawnsbury Days, go to Properties->Betas, and move to the beta version "backup". This means an older, more stable branch of the game.

Is there a reason you cant target enemies in doorways?
MechaTC Mar 8 @ 7:38pm
So... Aren't same spells and effect supposed to not stack even if they're untyped?

Healer's Blessing and Glimpse Weakness are prime examples. The latter being a cantrip is especially ridicilous. It allows you to use it repeatedly 3 times per turn to deal ludicrous damage on the successful Strike. Whenever it happens

Edit: Also, there are some weird things going on with skill increases. Sometimes I get +2 to two skills instead of a chosen skill (say I try to make a wizard an expert in Arcana - and he gets +2 to Intimidate as well)

Hello, there is a bug when you Import a character with the Background "Natural Leader", the Ability Boosts are Charisma, Strength or Constitution, and not Charisma or Constitution, Free

The issue doesnt exist when you create directely a character with the Background, it appears only when Importing the finished character

I am not sure, admittedly. Balance-wise, I think either option is fine. If you use Glimpse Weakness three times per turn, you exhaust all 3 of your actions to inflict 6 additional damage. That does not appear overpowered. You can inflict more damage, but then you exhaust your focus points.

I'll be happy for any pointers to the rules which would make it clear whether you can stack effects like Glimpse Weakness and Healer's Blessing.

I am making a note of all bug reports in this thread, by the way, for fixing in a post-launch patch.

I think this will do. Duplicate Effect one
https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=312

Duplicate Effects
When you’re affected by the same thing multiple times, only one instance applies, using the higher level of the effects, or the newer effect if the two are the same level. For example, if you were using mage armor and then cast it again, you’d still benefit from only one casting of that spell. Casting a spell again on the same target might get you a better duration or effect if it were cast at a higher level the second time, but otherwise doing so gives you no advantage.

Yes, it uses Mage Armor as an example, which already doesn't work since the effect from multiple castings is item bonus, so not stackable by default. But to me it seems pretty straightforward
Glimpse Weakness isn't particularly strong as is, just 2 (or 3 damage at level 3) damage per action. But what makes it powerful IMO is the fact that it's guaranteed. No saves whatsoever and since it's percision damage it acts as the same damage type as the Strike that triggered it, i.e. can often go over resistances. Essentially it's a Force Bolt, but it's completely infinite
Healer's Blessing is much weaker since it's a focus spell, and it doesn't even do anything unless you spend your resources, lmao. You can use 3 of those on one character to turn 1d8 into 1d8+6 healing, essentially turning 1-action version of Heal into a 2-action Heal, but it's impractical as all hell. At least in my experience. Still kinda hilarious though

Then again, it's your game. If you rule Glimpse Weakness or Healer's Blessing should stack - you're the GM of this table, lol

I cannot scroll down on any of my characters spell lists. The scroll bar is visible and it gets bigger when I mouse over it but I cannot use it.

Interesting. Does using the mouse wheel work? What is your resolution? If you downgrade down to Windowed with a lower resolution, does the scrollbar begin working?

Annacoesta was Stunned by Daze. On her turn, I used Delay. Then, I used Loose Time's Arrow on her. Once her turn came back around from the delay, she had 3(+1 from Time Arrow). She should have 2, since she had 2 because of stunned before the Delay action.
I'm not sure if it was just Delay that triggered this, of if it was the interaction with Time Arrow.

The mouse wheel did not work, and lowering the resolution and windowed mode did not work. Turning off my second monitor did work. Not sure why.

Interesting! Would you please share with me the resolutions of both your game monitor and the other monitor?
Hi! Found a possible bug in 2-11 (not sure if the level is related) I used a scroll of Flaming Sphere, didn't maintain it the next turn so it expired but then the game crashed when the sprite faded.

Seconding, am having the same problem. Just got to level 2 spells and I can only see the first two, can't scroll down past that. No use of scroll wheel, and click-dragging the bar doesn't work (the bar doesn't appear to get clicked when I click it). I'm in 1920x1080 Borderless Fullscreen.

Bit of an... I guess visual bug with Four Winds? If a person striding due to it is right next to an enemy with AoO, the grid will only show the "opp indicator" for distances further than 5 feet. If you choose to stride 5 feet you'll still get opped. (The behavior is correct - Four Winds doesn't specify that you can step - but the indicator doesn't reflect that behavior.)

For everyone who has the problem where scrolling in listboxes (such as spell selection) doesn't work, please I would appreciate that you get in touch with me on Discord (where I'm "dawnsbury") or alternately if you can post information about your system here, specifically: operating system, video card, resolution you're using, display mode, native resolution and actual resolution of your monitor, and any additional monitors you have and their native and current resolution.

As a workaround, I did hear a report that disabling secondary monitors in a multi-monitor setup can help fix the scrolling bug. You can try this, and if it works for you, please let me know!
