Xbox controller not working (xbplay cloud gaming via steam link)

Hi, I’m currently using my Xbox controller without any issues by connecting it via bluetooth to my chromecast HD. When I launched Steam Link I’m able to use the Xbox controller to surf the steam library, run & play games. When I come to xbplay the controller stops to work; I need to switch the steam link controller mode to virtual mouse in order to use the j-stick to move into the xbplay menu; this also affects the Xbox games where the controller is not usable at all. How I can solve this? Thanks!
