Sorry what does this do?
I have an xbox
I have a PC with steam
I have a steam deck

Where does this software get installed, and what does it accomplish.

Please describe every iteration of:
You can play ____ games on your _____ (example: You can play xbox games on your steam deck)

Thanks!

I don't see much use for this using a windows pc, but it is useful for steam deck owners.

Using this you can remote play from your xbox console to your steam deck.
This is similar to streaming your console to your PC using the xbox app in windows.

Using this you can stream xbox cloud games on your steam deck.
This is similar to using a browser to stream the xbox cloud games, either on PC or on steam deck.
For steam deck though. this is a little simpler as you do not have to go through the couple extra steps of setting up the browser properly.

Thanks for that reply!

This would allow for streaming an xbox library to a steamdeck either locally OR over the internet?

I think so yes.

It does for sure work on the same network.

I haven’t tested on a remote network but I think it would work remotely, since my iPhone can do it through the Xbox app, I’m pretty sure this would also do it.

Yes, although it may take some network settings changes. I find the biggest benefit to be finer control over cloud streaming, the ability to enable sharpening, and to use steam controller mappings on the Deck. It also adds artwork automatically for games you use XBPlay to add to library ("Non-steam games" section). Once you're in the app (which has 20 minute trial on Android/iOS), there are a lot of tutorials/walkthroughs/explanations available.

To follow the OP questions...

Remote Play Console to Phone-
XHome: You can play Xbox console games on your Android/iOS/Win/Mac(?)/Linux/Steam Deck.
XCloud: You can play Xbox cloud games on your (same as above).

Control Console-
You can use XBPlay as a media remote, game controller, or voice remote.

Cast Console to Smart Device-
You can use XBPlay to cast to Android/LG/FireTV, TV Cast, MirrorCast.

Cast Phone to Console-
You can use XBPlay to cast video, music, or remote.

Seen couple of reviews say the RemotePlay between Console to SDeck, still uses internet & isnt local, so essentially may as well be using xCloud, as its streaming over he net anyway?

Is there no way to Stream locally?

Also 1 review said they downloaded Starfield, but i presume they got terms mixed up as this app can only Stream?
And only way to do PC GPass is to install Windows right?
