Character Name Change?

I was wondering if it ever will be possible to change the name' of our party members in any future update? I think it would be kinda cool, similar to how xcom does it with their names and nicknames....

I think it would be better if they just implement a custom character thing that lets you pick how your character(s) look from a set of sprites and distribute 26 or 28 (depending on balance; if each stat needs at minimum one skill point, then it would be 20 or 22) skill points as you see fit. I don't really want to rename any of the included characters.
