Revive Option
I remind playing this freely on a web browser on Gamejolt or Armor Games ...
I remind those versions weren't as advanced as this one but there was a feature that has disapeared ... I think this is sad.
The Revive feature allowed you to revive a survivor who had died in mission but you had to pay 500 coins for him within the next 2 days or he'd die completely ...
I wondered if they could make a casual mode with this ...

Surely that would defeat the point in a game with "Permi-death".... you know as in permanent death, as in when some is dead, they are dead

A huge, huge, huge financial decision does not remove permanent death. 500 coins is a pretty steep decision for a really long time, and dumping that into making a guy not dead could come back to bite you later when everyone begins to starve and you can't buy food, etc.

If they aren't going to give us a Baldur's Gate style tactical pause, I'd be down for them to implement something like this, even if it was an alternate casual mode.

I'd like you guys to note that if you forgot your dying guy 2 days he 's LOST FOREVER ... there was a perma-death but it was softcore, her it is hardcore ...
all i was saying was "hey if you could an EASY MODE where this feature would be, wouldn't it be nice for some players ?"
JimboJangle Apr 29, 2014 @ 9:36am
Ya it would be nice but only on easy mode

I wish I could pay money to bring people back from the dead in real life, but you can't... so that is how it works in the game...

What you going to do stuff dollar bills in there corpse and hope for the best?

$500 would be so cheap in this game. I've saved up to $6,000+ for weapons. That's 12 dead bodies revived for a SAW or AA12.

I like the permadeath feature, as challenging as it is. Perhaps a save option at the start of a town can help mediate some. It will help and can be cheated on the smaller levels. At the upper levels, it doesn't help. But at least this way you don't have to go thru 50 days all over again to get to the challenging part.

The death thing isn't a big deal, but I would like a chance to have one survivor save another DURING a mission. Then you can be rewarded if you can tactically manage your team to give one member a good 30-60 seconds (dependent on search skill) to save your teammate with just two of your guys. It would be really cool.

I don't understand the point of locking in perma death and trying to target only that one niche of gamers rather than offering both options and drawing from a far larger pool of players. This game sounds really cool, I would have bought it instantly if it didn't list perma death in the "features." To me, that's not a feature, it's a bad thing and now I'm weighing whether or not the other aspects of the game would make it worth it to buy a game that will undoubtably cause me much frustration. I don't care if they call it "casual baby carebear mode," a difficulty that allows reviving your favorite characters and/or saving and reloading (which I assume is also absent) would make this an easy buy for me.

This game need to have two mods to play - survive mod like now and campgain.
For me - older gamer (30) i love that i can finish my games :)

or make that you can earn gems without die and make more team to choose from with new gems

I believe the idea of revivial would be a good idea. It doesn't make sense for the character to be "dying". Even "dying" can still be saved and revived. That character isn't "dead" till he is "dead" at the end of the level or if you get game over. My point is: its pointless to have someone "dying" and not be able to save that person.

It was in the early versions of the game so there's a good hope for it to be retablished...
If not I'm going to contact them personnaly ... I don't see the point of having 20+ characters to loose em in fight

@Swatman : I'm an oldies too, I'm older than you but it's not my point : i like to finish games too..
Further than this if Toge Games read us, it'd be fine to have more than a campaign, something like a STORY that would give the whole game its sense. Story, Mission (which could be to clean up towns) and the last, the one we're are playin to : SURVIVAL MODE....

@Hiruma9702
We all know that. But its better to give feedback right away so they can make it really good. Basically just a few things need to be tweeked. The mouse detection and inaccuracy of the response given to select something and a revival option. Even if that revival option was for an "easy' mode.

Yeah that would be nice, saying that the characters are "dying" rather than "dead" makes me think that revives during missions are planned to be released at some point.

I would go for this in a separate campaign mode, but in survival that's just cheating.

Yeah I suppose a "save" option could be considered cheating. But saving in general shouldn't be removed. This game I think is endless till all your survivors die.

I do think the revival option needs to come to play, its a bit too cheap and difficult. And most of the times it isn't really our faults that our survivals died. The mouse and actions are a bit "loopy" and need a few corrections. At some cases, they don't what I ask and get themselves kiled. Also I feel the ability to reobtain some lost weapons should come to play too. Not frequently, but a lucky chance option.

Maybe if some survivors come back from their mission they could recover the weapons of their fallen comrades.
