Aces Wild: Manic Brawling Action!

Aces Wild: Manic Brawling Action!

Game doesn't launch.
Already tried troubleshooting compatibility settings from XP to 8. I'm using an Xbox controller, however I unplugged it and it still didn't run. Reinstalling it didn't work. Running the EXE itself didn't work. Also tried using DS4 instead of 360 to see if they would change anything -- it didn't. Could someone help so I could actually enjoy this awesome game or should I just refund it?..

I'm having the same issue. Although mine ran fine on windows 8.1 and now it's not running at all on windows 10. There's no error message or anything. The game instantly closes itself as I attempt to launch it.

I had the same issue about a year ago. I decided to email the developers. and with their help I managed to resolve the issue. The issue is related to DirectX. Try searhing for directX 9 Redist on gooble and install it.

I installed it, and it still does the same thing.

Nevermind! I got it working! I deleted the Direct X folder that was in the game's folder then replaced it with the one I installed. Afterwards, the thing was causing the issue was because I was using an Xbox One Controller. But I swapped it out with a DS4 and it suddenly decided to work.

I couldn't find the Direct X folder in the local files. Where was it exactly?

browse files and open the original exe in the folder

I'm well past that point, I need to find where to put the new direct X folder so it will open.
It was happening the same to me but, happily, I was able to solve it. No compatibility or administrator modes.

Here are the steps I took.

01-Run DirectX installer. During the installation I could see something like '...installing Microsoft.DirectX....'. Apparently one of reasons is the absence of Microsoft.DirectX

02-Before you open the game, unplug your XBOX 360 Controller. Open the game, and after first screen (where it appears loading...), plug your controller.

P.s.: For Playstation Controllers, it appears you can open the game with PS controller plugged.

Finally I will be able to try this game

DUDEEEE!!! It finally worked! For me it worked without replacing it. I deleted from the commons and installed separated and voilá! Thank you so much!

The game doesn´t launch for me either. I tried compatibility mode with windows 7 and xp, and still doesn´t work. I have directx 12.

thanks to this thread I was able to get this game working, I had to launch through the .exe and make it win 7 compatible (win 7 to reduce some visual artifacts and make my xinput controller work properly)

Dev posted a workaround while she fixes it with a new version.
