It would appear, those of us who purchased the game prior to a certain date, or more specifically, prior to the API request (total number allocation) being exceeded are able to utlise the system without issue. Those who have purchased recently, or by ballpark of 6 weeks or so eg late 2020 to now, have exceeded the total API hits available thereby not allowing the game to function as intended.
Before you refund, reach out to Gemma at gemma@cherrypopgames.com - She's the last man standing as far as anyone in public can tell, with Cherry Pop. To fix this, the developers - even publishers can simply login to the title associated playfab account (specific to SportsBar VR) and reset/purchase more API. I'm not entirely sure how the server is setup and so is entirely speculation on my part based on a somewhat limited knowledge of playfab and the title itself.
You won't find devs or any sign of life here, on any of Cherry Pop socials, etc. Best of luck and let us know how you go.
Let us know DrSnuggles, if now working for you - or if others are still receiving this error message, please report here.
so first of all, thank you guys very much for your support. Especially to parsecn!
I have reached out to Gemma but she did not reply at all. For this reason I have not played the game anymore. I checked it just few seconds ago and now the game works totally fine.
I do not know what happend in the background but it helped somehow.
Thank you guys and see you at the bar...
A friend and I spent a few hours troubleshooting this one evening last week. I'd given him my /savegame files in the hope that playfab would load my data for him - it didn't OOTB, and we had weird issues like he'd win tickets, but only I could grab them (as result of our doubling up same user account in 1 game) but in our further testing we glitched his game where he teleported into the darts area while shooting an active game of pool - this is a known bug where you can't get your cue back because it thinks you're now playing darts, even though you clearly are not and did not initialise darts gameplay. While it was glitched, my friend went to the Setup Cue area and bingo, playfab started working for him!!
The thinking is that maybe we "jump started" playfab somehow - or forced the (playfab) account to crash and somehow reboot (it is a server-side application). At any rate, it fixed itself while we were actively messing with it, which is good to know going forward if we ever need to do the same again.
My friend was able to restore his /savegame backup data, and restart his game using his account proper; mine is unaffected all working as normal.
Lastly, and not related to playfab, if you do find you accidentally can't get your cue to come up mid-game (it happens from time to time) just go into the Dressing Room -cue will come out there, then teleport back to the game.
Cheers
Well... i can play normally and multiplayer without damage but there aren't much people online so i recommend a friend to play with......Playfab did not work for a while but it's ok now. You still can play....even without Playfab.
