How to get oil extractor?

I saw a vid, but didnt work or did I need certain character or does it need to be hardcore or was I suppose to add the partner at 12k ft? Video makes no sense...

As far as I know, it can only be gotten on Normal. You should be able to get it with any character, though.

If you choose not to have Mister Fix-It upgrade your fuel tank, he should give you the Oil Extractor upgrade when you get close to the planet's core.

WTF?! That doesn't make sense it's for normal only? Would be a lot more fun if it was on hardcore... I kept resetting since I thought I was doing something wrong or it's because of my character... so I guess there no way to get it on hardcore :/

Also do you have any idea what websites shows full unlocks and abilities they have in the game even secrets?

Is it also possible to get all upgrades or are they all random..? Like Hull regenerator, I've always try to get double cargo but never appears in the game... Can you share some secrets? Or how to unlock certain things??

Yeah. Unless they included an alternative way of unlocking the Oil Extractor upgrade on Hardcore, there's no way of getting it since Mister Fix-It does not offer to upgrade your fuel tank at any point.

There's a couple of guides here that tell you how to unlock all the characters and what all the upgrades are, including this one. Most of the upgrades are randomly available at the various stores, though the secret store at the very top will always have the rubber hull and metal drill upgrades.

It's impossible to get all of the upgrades with one save. However, you can start a new save with the same characters and potentially find different upgrades for them. They'll keep everything besides the drill bit and radar upgrades, since those are connected to the saves themselves. It's possible to get all of the upgrades with each character this way (besides the Oil Extractor for Hardcore characters, as far as I know).

Is there any way to transfer oil extractor from normal onto hardcore character? I find that very ridiculous why they didn't add them in :/ and surprised there's no information from them telling you what you can unlock or etc to give a guide...

But yeah I'm just trying to get 25mil as a goal on hardcore then beat it is what I'm trying to do. Not sure what's the best way to get real good money, got any idea is possible to get oil extractor and what about money making?

You can transfer all characters (including money, upgrades, and so on) from normal to hardcore mode. Just copy the file "%AppData%\Roaming\XGen Studios, Inc\Super Motherload\savedata\common\normal_characters" to "...\hardcore_characters".

Warning: This will overwrite all of your hardcore characters (you may want to create a backup for hardcore_characters first).

If you want to "transfer" just the oil extractor, you have to edit the files. I wrote a bit about it in the guide Map Modding. Have a look at the last chapter and the comments. It's not much, but it may help.
